April 2014 Update No 3

Hi there everybody, by now many of you will have become introduced to The Adventures of Rupert Roll.

1604722_10152400354933055_167584558274826148_n.jpg

He started life here in Tenerife at a restaurant which will remain nameless for obvious reasons. He was like a rock and when attacked with a knife rolled onto the floor. He landed safely without any damage to himself or the tiles and it was decided that he should be saved. Because he was a rock and rolled it was decided that he should be “The Patron Saint of Rock & Roll” and was adopted by ODNT to assist with their PR. He has been quite active on Facebook but it is now time for him to join the team on the website. Watch out for regular bits of news and gossip from Rupert - he may be hard but he has a soft heart and has already attracted attention from Lady Ginger Nut & Betty Bourbon. I think ODNT will need to keep a wary eye on his escapades.

Further news is that ODNT are once again returning to Los Gigantes - whoopee. As of next Wed. 7th May they will be appearing at Highland Paddy’s and are hoping that there supporters will turn out in force to their opening show. The band have had to make a number of changes this year and unfortunately had to drop Graham from Highland Paddy 2 in Playa la Arena on Fridays as the management decided that that could not afford 3 people due to lack of tourists. The band sincerely hope that it will get busy enough to allow them to persuade P2 to have Graham back. In the meantime Graham is setting up his own band and we wish him all the best for the future. He is still with us on Thursday at Route 66.

Looking forward we also start the Pool Party at the Hotel Barcelo Santiago next Monday with a whole raft of new music to fit in with the “Flower Power” theme. YMCA - heaven help us and many ,many more.
