Christmas 2014 Update

Well the “dogs” are back from 10 days rest and recuperation in Lanzarote. Unfortunately the weather was absolutely atrocious with lots of rain and high winds. This kind of curtailed the plans for lots of walking and lazing on the beautiful beaches. Instead they went house hunting to get ideas for possible retirement villa - some time in the future we’re told. Prices around half what they are in Tenerife and no hills plus fabulous golden sands.

Certainly worth thinking about in the future and they have been offered a couple of nights work per week just to save them getting bored. Bob not convinced! Still a good time was had and they managed to fit in a show at the wonderful “Barney’s Bar” in the Papagayo Commercial Centre - great bar, great atmosphere, great staff, great food and great music - not to be missed if you are in Playa Blanca. Also, it was good to meet up with Brian & his wife Mary from Scotland - they had heard so much about Mary and had looked forward to meeting her - they were not disappointed.

Now back in Tenerife and getting ready for the Christmas and New Year mayhem. Struggling a bit for the next few weeks as their trusty “Roadie” Maureen has returned to the UK to spend Christmas with her family - have a great time and come back soon.

Tenerife is surprisingly busy for this time of year which is great and the “old dogs” are still playing to packed audiences every night and what’s more they seem to be in the mood to party.

Looking forward to dinner with Elaine & David Husband for more discussions on H4H. As of Jan 1, 2015 they will be actively looking for donations and sponsorship towards the major Ball at The Balmer Lawns Hotel in Brockenhurst on Sat. 10th October. Rooms at the hotel are going fast so get in there now and make your reservation - details on homepage.

Lastly on behalf of “old dogs-newtricks" aka Bob & Jill we wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy & healthy 2015.
