April 2015 Update
Well April is just about over and at last summer has arrived with temperatures rising to 23 during the day and staying at around 20 at night. With it has come a much happier and more relaxed audience who want to party.
The “olddogs” took a short break in April and joined family and friends in Fuerteventura. Bob managed to slip getting out of the pool and land on his replacement hip which caused panic in the ranks but thanks to swift action by his granddaughter, Megan ice was applied almost immediately which kept bruising and swelling to a minimum. Great fun was had on the beaches which are beautiful and all managed (even Jill) to to go home with a sun tan. Nights out for dinner meant visiting a variety of restaurants and sampling different foods. The grandsons, Duncan & Callum, proved to be much more adventurous than both their mother and older sister - well done boys! It was also really great to meet up with old friends Robert & Rhona Cunningham with their daughter Rachel - it had been way too long since their last meeting.
Back on the work front Bob & Jill are looking forward to the return of many of their regulars over the summer period and to extracting donations from them for “Help for Heroes”. If you haven’t got your tickets yet for the ball on 10th October please do it now before it is too late. Details on Home Page. The target for this year is GBP50k and to date the “olddogs” have raised GBP10.3K so a long way to go. Please give generously as this will be their last ball and they would like to go out with a bang!
