Hi guys, Razor (Sarah) and I are back in a few weeks and are really looking forward to seeing you again. I dont know why the likes of Stephen and Lucy and that other tosser, who thinks he knows about music, bother. The HUNDREDS of other people who write with positive comments cant all be wrong. But I surpose the odd bad one does promote lots of new positive ones! I know that my holiday and that of my friend Claire (Big) and daughter would be incomplete without ODNT!! See you soon Love Sue

They say there is always one. well two in this case.Is Lucy still upset with our boy Bob?If you want to find God or perfect people I hear Heaven is a good place.Unlike your wife our Jill can speak up for herself Both Jill and Bob are people who dont give a shit Sorry have I left yourself and Lucy cold again with the word Shit.It just happened last May my world fell apart the only place I could find sunshine was to hear Bob and Jill sing. They left you cold and they left me warm Maybe bad boy Bob is trying very hard to get people to relax and drop the shit and smile. In America they would have another word for that Get a Life Stephen and Lucy. What have you against poor Billy Connolly? NOT as good as Bob but he is o k Smile! Jill you must go to night class and learn to stand up for yourself How on earth can you let Bob treat you like Stephen and Lucys says? On the other hand side you two for people like me just keep rocking and being yourselves. It works for me Thanks a Mill

I LOVE OLD DOGS NEW TRICKS!! Absolutely brilliant, we went to watch them 3 times in the week that we were staying in Santiago! One of the best live bands I've ever seen! I even bought their latest CD which is on repeat in my car!! Thanks again for some great entertainment! xxxx
From: Jan and Steve
Date: 29/07/2010
It was so good to listen to the new cd after returning from our visit in June. Would have loved to have booked you for Steve's 60th birthday do last year but sadly the budget didn't stretch that far! Still, only 5 years to go till mine so plenty of time to save up! If Stephen and Lucy didn't enjoy the entertainment, why didn't they just leave? I suppose you can't please everyone. Best wishes, Jan & Steve

Re. Stephen & Lucy?s comments all I can say is that i feel sorry for you. I am a bar owner in the UK and would give my eye teeth to have Bob & Jill entertaining there on a regular basis. They are one of the most professional acts i have encounered both here in the UK and on my travels over the years. They have a fantastic range of numbers to suit all ages but more importantly they put "bums on seats" night after night. I for one will be back to see them later in the year

O.M.G.......What are you O.D.N.T,s like. Got "NEW!" C.D. and I'll tell you what. That Jill is a Sexy piece Bob. (But then you knew that) I looked at the C.D.cover and for the first time, I didn't look at the bandana. Not even your legs Bob, although I have no doubt they will appeal to some of the lady fans. We were looking forward to last week in October, BUT NOW!!!!....Can't wait to see you perform "Born to be Wild", but PLEASE, PLEASE,PLEASE Jill. (With Bob's permission) Don't do it in THAT outfit....My heart won't take it. Although Bob, if she MUST, I will try not to look. I will concentrate on your bandana.(Sorry, Bob...I can't lie) To anyone reading this,,, Better than Sex IS, like ALL their C.D's is Brilliant.

Sorry for quick follow up but just read recent articles regarding comments by "Stephen and Lucy". Everyone is entitled to am opinion but just for the record, Ann and I have been followers of Bob and Jill since they first ventured out to Tenerife, and like Stephen and Lucy came into contact with them at El Marques, BUT we go back a lot more than 4 years. Anyway guys, sorry you no longer like their act, but the good thing is, since the Old days, they have increased their following to the point where people such as ourselves find it difficult to get a seat. Some people obviously like them. With regards Bob's attitude towards his good lady. I have only met one man who loved his wife as much, and that is ME!!!!! As for Jill's voice, you are entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine........Mine says YOU AIN'T GOT A CLUE!!!!!!!!!!!! (But that is an opinion).....You enjoy your future entertainment, and we and others will enjoy ours. Just for the record. My wife and I are both over 60, so we know a good bit about music, and entertainers. (That again, is an opinion)
From: Jim Kew
Date: 27/07/2010
Stephen & Lucy, what can I say? However opinions are like noses - we all have one. Looking at the feedback though you are certainly in the minority with yours. Personally I think ODNT are excellent and as Terry has said many venues in the island would give their eye teeth to have their bar etc filled as much as Route 66 is. As long as they keep playing I will still travel to be entertained by them.
From: Maureen
Date: 26/07/2010
I totally agree with the Editor on Stephen and Lucy (21.7.10) and the other replies. It is all part of the act for Bob to do his Billy Connolly impression, to make fun of Jill and involve the audience - nothing is meant by it. It is just a bit of fun and people enjoy the banter. As for Jill being below par, what rubbish her voice is probably the best that i have heard it and I have seen ODNT many times over many years. Not only does she have a lovely, unusual voice but she is an entertainer and not all singers are. I suggest Stephen and Lucy if you can find a better act go and watch it but do not criticise. Entertaining is a very hard thing to do especially night after night!
From: Puppy
Date: 26/07/2010
Re: Stephen & Lucy 21/7/10 It is all part of ODNT act when Bob does his Billy Connolly act, nothing is meant by it. As for Jill's voice, it is never below par! Do you not realise she sings solidy LIVE five days a week for three hours at a time? That is a hard slog on anyones vocal chords and as a professional I should know. ODNT are doing different sets now to meet the majority of their audiences requests and to suit the venue. It is just different styles to what they used to play at El Marques. Like the editor said, why do people keep coming back?! No hard feelings but try finding someone who you do like listening to and enjoy your holidays!
From: Frances and Alan
Date: 26/07/2010
Wasn't going to comment on Stephen and Lucy's post,(21.7.10) but thought about it and got angry! Why do people keep coming back year after year? (Check out all the other posts from hundreds of loyal fans) As for Bob's so called ruid remarks - we think they are brilliant, they make our day and I know we're not alone in thinking that!! If anyone's being rude it's them. Very bad manners to criticise someone's performance on a guest page. Best avoided? - Best those two stuffed shirts don't ever return I fancy! Editor's comments:- a bit harsh but thanks for the support.

Looking forward to returning to Tenerife at the beginning of August, and seeing you guys perform again! Hopefully I'll be able to grab a copy of the latest disc by then!
From: Stephen & Lucy
Date: 21/07/2010
Had the unfortunate experience of seeing this duo again after last seeing and liking them around 4 years ago at El Marques in Los Gigantes. Now playing at Route 66 they are utterly rotten. Bob sees himself as some sort of Billy Connolly impersonator ridiculing Jill at every opportunity and Jill's singing is now less than below par. Rude remarks to customers including my wife and I left us cold. Best avoided. Editor's comments:- Well just goes to show that you can't please all the people all of the time. Why do people keep coming back???
From: Mags, Den and Jack (Torres)

Thanks for entertaining us and making our holiday - love the choice of music and the banter. Hopefully be back one day for another visit. Wish we were still in Tenerife, it's chuckin it down here in Scotland!!

Thank you once again for making our holiday so special. As ever, we enjoyed every minute of seeing you both in Route 66, every night a party, how the place rocks! Alan and I can't stop singing the Lady Ga Ga songs until our son wanted to know why we were singing Cherry pie, cherry pie to Poker Face (well that's what we thought the words were!). Already looking forward to the next time. Lots of love X

Hi Bob & Jill, We received your new album on Saturday and think its Fab!! The cover is great too so bet you’re really proud of it. Great legs Bob - almost as good as Jill’s! I listened to it all afternoon yesterday while England were being thrashed by Germany. I couldn’t bear to watch after the first goal so I left George to watch by him self. Guess who had the best time? Good luck with your new album, I’m sure it will be a great success. Love and Best wishes to you both Audrey & George xx

Hi. We really enjoyed the gig for Los Gigantes carnival and I ordered a CD through your site for my husband's birthday. Unfortunately it hasn't arrived - can you tell me if there's a problem please? I wondered whether the volcanic ash had caused postal delays, but see today that the CD hasn't even been dispatched. Order dated 14.4.10, Google order no. 958604130823517, Better by Half. If it's out of stock I could choose another. Old Dogs New Tricks is a really class act - loved it!

Following on from Paul's e-mail, sorry we were unable to stay and have the extra days in Tenerife, it turned out to be the right decision to leave Sunday evening as the flights were cancelled again on the Tuesday. We as a family have been coming to this area for over ten years and have enjoyed your super entertainment for the past eight/nine years. Hope you realise how much pleasure you give to so many people. Great Stuff. See you again in August (bringing Dennis with me this time) with Ali Neil and Kids.

Really enjoyed our 3 visits to Route 66 (and all the other nights we listened to you from our top-floor balcony at the Barcelo). You were all slightly amused at our having to go home to reports of snow in the UK - well there wasn't any - the temperature at Stansted Airport was a balmy 10 Degrees and it was dry! Mind you, when we got home the central heating had packed up! Thanks for helping to make our holiday and have fun with your own break in Barcelona.

Hi guys You may remember me as the shirt man or us as the dancers from last week. This is just a note to say thanks for the great entertainment which made our holiday and thanks for the chance to dance. Sorry we couldn't stay to thank you in person after the carnival but I had the bug the night before and was only upright on willpower, so by eleven I'd had it. (couldn't even manage a shag Bob!) Keep up the good work, we (and others) think you're outstanding thanks again Kathleen and Steve

Great to see you again, you make the holiday special. Good to see you perform on the big stage at Barcelo Santiago, but do prefer the more intimate venue of Route 66. We had a good flight home, no children kicking the back of the seat Jill - worse - a 6' 3" man who insisted on pushing my seat forward - yes it's possible! Thanks for "Summer of 69", it's one of our special songs. Look foward to seeing you again we hope. John and Linda

Dear Roger, Those people that offer constructive feedback are welcomed by ODNT however your comments would have been welcomed even more if you had in fact not hidden behind a secret identity. It is obvious to us you have no belief in your convictions otherwise you would use your true identity and not be scared of people knowing who you are. ODNT are an excellent act constantly evolving not only the material but the way they portray themsleves to the crowd, in essesnce true entertainers who pack out Venues wherever they play here in Tenerife or in the UK. This is backed up by the many gigs they are asked to perform back in the UK by people visiting Tenerife year after year and loving the act. As for your comments on Jill you do not know true stardom when you see it... ODNT keep on rocking!!!!! We love it..... as do many others!!!!!!

Hi ODNT -hope you are all ok and enjoying the sunshine still! We came over last November - Calvin was the one with the pink shirt on that you liked Jill - Bob described as a PJ top!! Good to see you all again - we have seen you for about 4 years running now and really have a good night - there were some very interesting people in the audience when we were there! Big news we are getting married on 1 May, so if we can make it out to Tenerife in November again this year we will be all legal. Take care of yourselves x

Hi Guys saw recent entry on 20 Jan. by Roger (Although if webmaster is correct and the individual can,t sent proper email address then perhaps name is wrong also) Entry sounds very like Ray? in 27 March (Same letter of alphabet....I wonder?) The good thing is guys, EVERYONE, (Even pillocks!!!!) are entitled to their own opinion(and that was mine) and this person is no different. I only ask they take time to look at ALL the other entries supporting and thanking you two (Sorry, Graham, three).I don,t need to tell you that with the comments and FULL bar nights, you are doing something right. Maybe Roger? (I think not) would like to supply his correct email and postal address or post code and I will make an effort to try to educate him, or at least broaden his already misguided ego. Anway guys unlike Roger (or is that Ray) we can't wait to see/hear you again. LIVE music is better than listening to C.D.s, don,t you think Keep Hooooowling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From: Meryl
Date: 23/01/2010
I´m guessing Roger is local maybe a swallow or a resident so he will understand when I say ‘No tiene una abuela’ and as for ´Judith Durham and The Seekers. That´s rock with attitude....´ again No tiene una abuela. ODNT can do ballads along with the best but if the audience are asked for suggestions they get exactly what they want. Apart from Purple Rain !!!
From: Ross
Date: 22/01/2010
Iread Roger's comments........ What a chube. There's always one who has escaped the clinic. ODNT are a good time party band who entertain. No one is forced to stay, and most evenings, more often than not, the pub is still full during their final number. Lighten up Roger....... son, it may never happen.

Hi Rodger Get a Life In all the times I have sat in R 66 I never saw a sad face Just people enjoying themselves ,enjoying the music The gift Bob and Jill have [one of many] is to give joy to people. You would not know anything about that because your idea of enjoyment is to Knock My advice to you is "If you cant take the heat get out of the kitchen" Dont worry the space you took up in R66 would have been filled before you got to the door.I guess you did not notice that because your mind was on your wonderful (I dont think) e mail you were to compose.Your on your own boy on this one You picked the wrong band to pick on
From: Maureen
Date: 22/01/2010
How sad Roger to read your comments on Jill of ODNT. People return over and over to this area just to see them and are disappointed if they are not here. Not only does Jill have a beautiful, unique voice and can sing a vast range of songs from the 60´s to the present day from rock to ballad, but she is an entertainer which lots of singers are not - Jill has the X Factor. Have you seen Route 66 and The Square when ODNT are performing, both venues are absolutely packed with people enjoying singing and dancing along with them. Perhaps you should go to SpecSavers!
From: Puppy
Date: 21/01/2010
Roger ODNT are a loud band, however, Jill doesn't shout. She sings, live, in tune, seven nights a week. That is more than any other singer I know ,( and I am a professional singer). Three hours a night, varied set, with massive energy levels, singing all the way through it without a break. That is not an easy thing to do, you should try it sometime. You obviusly have not heard their accoustic set? It is beautiful, emotional and addictive. ODNT's do what they do best and they fill Route 66 night after night. They must be doing something right! I can't believe you think they are tedious, I think you have got the wrong band!
From: Frances and Alan
Date: 21/01/2010
Well done Puppy for your comments. Totally agree with you! Who is this Roger and what utter drivel he speaks! Jill has a very powerful voice and she consistently gives a superb performance. Certainly not shouting! People return to Tenerife time after time to hear ODNT and they have a huge following. Why would Jill want to submit to a challenge, there is no need! Tedious? Mono-tone? So very wrong! ODNT - we love you and we speak for your many fans. Rock on Jill!
From: roger
Date: 20/01/2010
Judith Durham and The Seekers. That´s rock with attitude all right! Please ask Jill to stop shouting and start singing. Here´s a challenge. Do an unplugged set. Thought that would be beyond you! Get it on. Bang a gong. Get on. Does she understand what a hub cap diamond star halo is exactly? ODoNT are the most tedious outfit in town. Give us a break from the mono-tone shouting in the microphone please. Cheers - Roger. Editor's comments: Well it makes a change from poor old Bob being slagged off and Jill being Suzie Quattro or "the Julie Andrews of rock!!!. Jill says that to her the words always come first and would be delighted to hear your interpretation. She also does several unplugged numbers with & without backing trax and would be delighted to do more - no problem Roger. They may be tedious but they fill the bar every night!! Your comments please.

How do you get away with it miming to a guitar and drums, Jill should be honest and work on her own as she is the only one actually doing anything you are just cheating the public Editors comment:- Bob was delighted by your observations as you must have caught him on a good night otherwise you would have heard the mistakes. Next time stand closer to the guitar amp!! Even better feel free to come on stage at any time and test the guitar - then we will see who is miming. Of course a public apology will be expected - have you got the bottle??

Just wanted to say thank you for a fantastic couple of nights entertainment at Route 66. Kevin & I were mesmerised into Route 66 by the glorious sounds that filled the hot summer air in Tenerife. The happy chat, fantastic sounds, & the amazing voice of Jill made our holiday complete every night. Jill made us feel so so welcome, & getting a sing song out of Kevin is something to be achieved, as he is far too often reserved - well done Jill.... He even smiled & had a bit of banter with you both over Scotland & no's on his t/shirts...I now have the privilege of hearing you tones & voice in our car as we bought 2 CD's & I have been able to continue singing at the top of my voice... I thank you Bob for your cheeky smile & patter which made me feel so welcome, thank you Graham for your amazing drumming which was fascinating to watch & finally thank you Jill as you have a voice to remember, full of spirit & passion. If we ever return we will definately pop into see you all. Take care & keep on rocking... Clairebear fae Scotland

We thought we were doing well with our wonderful weather here in Ireland then I read about the fab nights you are having at Routh 66. It did not help that on the 19th you had a great night with a live band as it was my birthday and we would have loved to have been there. Still I will leave down the jealous side and say its wonderful to hear all is so well. Keep it going and hopefully we will see you soon

Hi Guys - Back in business and hoping to catch up with you both at end of October. Missed out on not having access to site, but now catching up. (AFTER BUXTON, ANN & I CAN,T WAIT) Before I forget, thanks to Mel for entry dated 31 March. GOOD ON YOU. However wth regards entry by Ray on 27 March, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Unfortunately for him/or her (not sure with that name) the fish in Loch Lomond are like Bob and Jills friends, THEY BITE!, and now that this old biker is back in action, and listening daily to excellent C.D.s supplied by ODNT I would be only too pleased to endeavour to educate Ray. By the way, thanks Ray, because Bob and Jill would be welcome to Loch Lomond anytime, unlike you. Editor's comment:- everyone is entitled to their opinion but perhaps we could send Ray to Loch Lomond in the "midge" season!! Look forward to seeing you both. The bandana is being worn with pride.

Hi, Jill & Bob, We are in Calgary, Canada for 2 months, visiting our daughter (who is a lot better now). Last night we went to a live Coldplay concert with 15,000 other people. The warm up group was Snow Patrol and they sang "Chasing Cars"; so I thought of you. The first group were from Australia and called the Howling Bells and they did just that! They were so loud I had to put tissues in my ears! When Coldplay came on nearly everybody stood up but luckily were we seated in the front row of the second tier and had excellent views while enjoying the show in comfort. Glad to hear that you are recovering well Bob, hope the pole dancer didn't do too much damage. Hope to see you both at Christmas, have now got 2 months at El Marques. Best Wishes from Linda, Ernest & Julie England (the Rockstar fans)

You astounded us yet again with your repertoire and I hope you are giving serious consideration to your homework list of songs to learn!! And yes the Killers feature again, I live in hope that one day soon....... We have fond memories of all the guests of Tamaimo Tropical spending their euros on Route 66 drinks instead of their freebies, oops sorry pre paid drinks. Have attached a couple of photos we took which show you at your best. Ps I still have the broken drum stick and the plectrum on but they will soon be going on ebay I'll keep you informed on the bids....... You just go from strentgh to strentgh and Graham is the perfect drummer to compliment you both. Hope you are back to being snake hips Bob again. Neil & Hannah

Just a short note to say thank you for the wonderful evenings that we enjoyed at Route 66, when we were on holiday in Tenerife. The ambience and repartee that everyone enjoyed was something that had to be experienced to be believed. You can be very proud of what you are achieving and we look forward to seeing you again. Sadly the week that we were there was when Bob was in hospital but we were lucky enough to see him on our last night. We trust that he is well on the road to recovery. Thank you once again the visits to Route 66 were the highlights of our holiday. Jen and Terry Elliott

Good to see you both again (& Frank). Maybe go out running with Bob next time (ho ho)... Lily and Evie gutted when we got home to find you had someone else dancing to "500 miles". Life's tough, but at 15 I think you get over stuff quickly. Not sure when we'll get out again but having discovered how (relatively) cheap holidays can be without the kids it could be soon (as long as the apartment doesn't get sold). I'm going to mail a US number plate to Juan from when we used to live there (SABVAN) so hope he'll think it worthy of the wall at Route 66. Take it easy & be lucky. Hi Bob and Jill, Just a quick email to congratulate you both on the high quality performance you put on for everyone (especially us!) at the above event. We were completely blown away! Everyone we spoke to were of the same opinion! Bearing in mind the massive gulf between performing in a small bar in Puerto Santiago in front of 100 people and playing in front of 400 +ish at such an impressive venue, the challenge must have been huge, yet it was met with plenty to spare. If you had played until dawn we’d have kept dancing, we were on pure adrenalin towards 2 am! Hope that Bob’s operation went ok and he has recovered fully by now. Anita and I have approached our company about performing at the Summer Ball 2010, both singing your praises to the full. The powers that be have said they will look into it once this year’s event has passed. Inevitably cost will be a factor, this year’s act plus a DJ will cost around £1250 all in. In an attempt to ‘bridge the gap’ between their costs and yours, I have offered to cover the difference should anyone not be 100% satisfied. How’s that for my confidence in your ability?! Will keep you posted with developments. Keep on Rockin’!

By my reckoning (am sitting at my desk in the office half asleep so not quite sure what day it is) its 7.30 ish on 14th April i.e. the day Bob goes in to hospital to have his hip done. Hope all goes well Bob and that you will soon be up and about and rocking . Just think about those young fishnet clad dancers and Claire's knockers as you are going under. Guaranteed to make you wake with a smile on your face!! As per Bill and Ann let us know if you have any gigs in the London/Surrey areas. Claire and her man and me and mine would love to see you, otherwise see you in October as usual. Keep in touch. Love Sue xx

Hi Guys Sorry we didn't manage to catch up with you on Sunday for Bob's birthday, but I have no doubt you had a great time. Ann and I really enjoyed being able to see you both again. The Ball was great and YOU BOTH WERE BRILLIANT and looked really at home on the big stage. But then we would not have expected any less. I took a lot of pictures , and if any turn out, I will send them on. My only regret was not having my camcorder, after realising the location of the seating. Anyway Guys, THANK YOU again, for not only being BRILLIANT, but for also being FRIENDS. In the absence of still not having access to the internet, I can only hope we can keep updated with what is happening. We sincerely hope that all goes well for Bob when he has his hip op. and that you both have continued health and success By the way Bob, had it not been Black and White, I would gladly have worn my BEST KILT, in your honour. Please keep well and let us know, albeit through this e-mail address, if you ever have any other venues in Britain, which would allow your OLD GROUPIES to attend. Wear Ye Olde Bandana with pride. If it could only tell stories? Keep HOWLLLLLLING! Best Wishes Bill and Ann

Who is this Ray chap? He obviously doesnt know good music. What an idiot. And to say that Santiago would not miss you is absolute crud. EVERYONE WOULD MISS YOU. Especially Juan who I am sure has never had such a full bar!!! Mind you I dont need to bluster the proof of the pudding etc.... Your Guest book says it all!!!! Claire and I have been coming to Tenerfie for some 15 years either together or with our families and have listened to some very dodgy singers over the years. We loved you from day 1 when you were first at Las Rosas and TJs and when you moved venues we searched until we found your new venues because we thought you so good. We shall continue to watch you until we drop or you do but hope that you stay at Route 66 as it is easy for us to get to. Looking forward to our next holiday to boogie the nights away with you. Hope Buxton goes really well - be ready with the cold wet flannel for Bob after those dancers Jill. Happy birthday Bob with a big kiss and cuddle from both Clair

Invitation only Mayoral Ball at the Octagon Pavillion Gardens in Buxton, UK, 420 paying guests.......I think I have set the scene enough......and the evening's entertainment was......ODNT. Sorry Ray, i think you are barking up the wrong tree!!! What a great gig guys, you were fantastic, thanks for the entertainment x

Hi Bob and Jill, I can't believe its a week today we last saw you at Route 66. We had a fanastic holiday, much better doing 2 weeks instead of our usual one. I thought you were both tremendous (and Graham) and Bob your guitar playing seems to get better with age. I don't think we will be able to make it back to Tenerife till this time next year, when it will be our 40th wedding aniversary. I will email the pictures I took of you and the band as soon as I get a chance to sort them out. Jill can you please send me the email addresses of your friends who have apartments in Playa and Los Gigantes. Thanks again for helping to make our holiday one of our best, Keep on Rocking, Love, Brian and Sheila (from DUDLEY).

With reference to Ray's comment - what is he on? Or should I say not on? He is obviously not a musician if he thinks you are using karaoke backing tracks and are using naff equipment. Any one who knows anything about the music business can see and hear that you use excellent and expensive equipment. As for the comment about learn to sing;.....unbelieveable, Jill is one of the best singers on the island and Bob has improved tremendously over the years that I have been watching & listening to ODNT. People shouldn't comment on such things unless they know the facts. You are both fantastic.

Back to work today March 29th. A quick note to say that our week at Barcelo Santiago was fantastic mainly down to ODNT at Route 66. We enjoyed each night & even managed not to dance with Roy which was a bonus. Seriously, we always have a March week on the island, and when we do we'll make a point of coming to see you. Thanks for some great nights. PS was that Fabio Capello singing "Chasing Cars" with Jill. He should stick to football.

Just wanted to say that we will be in Tenerife from 3rd April to 10th April so hopefully will be able to see you again. We are disappointed that you no longer play at El Marques as there is room to dance there and the atmosphere is good. Never mind, we'll be at Route 66! El Marques's loss!
From: Kevin and Linda
Date: 28/03/2009
Re Ray's comments - obviously he is the one who lives across the road and cannot get to sleep before midnight because of all the people enjoying themselves at Route 66. THEY seem to think that the "karaoke " tracks and performances from Old Dogs are worth staying out for. As for Bob being old, useless and past it I could not possibly comment. The only signs are of course the usual old man grumpiness and a distinct lack of hair. All we can say is "keep on rockin", you certainly make our holiday. See you soon.
From: Ray
Date: 27/03/2009
Editors comments : Seems that we can't please all the people all of the time !!! We can but try .... What - some peace and quiet at last in Puerto Santiago? Please stay in the UK for at least one year. Get some decent backing tracks instead of the karaoke krap. Take some music lessons. Get some decent equipment. Learn to sing. Better still, sign up for your UK pension and settle down in Loch Lomond and frighten the fishes. YOU WILL NOT BE MISSED IN PUERTO SANTIAGO - THAT'S FOR SURE.

We even bourght along some people who were staying there. We have been coming to Tenerife for some 21 years and coming from the home of the bands of the 50s & 60s which is Liverpool you are certainly the most Professional and Polished band we have seen in the whole of the Canaries bar none. You deserve all the sucess that you attract, and we hope you go on to a higher plain in your work. Hi Bob and Jill, dont know if you remember us from a few weeks ago at Route 66 - the Scots couple with the wee girl who had just recently got a wee King Charles spaniel puppy! Anyway, just to say thanks for putting on some great wee nights - that wee bar has such a warm friendly atmosphere! Could have listened to you all night - especially Bobs Scots patter!! Now anytime the One Republic song comes on I can here Jill singing it more than them!! - Our first memory of arriving at the hotel i

It's was a pity I found out about you late in our holiday, Nancy and myself really enjoyed the evening, last week. It was a Thomson rep who suggested we came after we complained about the middle of the road standards all the time. I am the one with 26 Deep Purple albums and stuff from the very heavy bands Inflames, Dragonforce, Killswitch Engaged stuff. Thanks again. Brian

Hi Bob & Gill, Thanks for making a good weekend into an absolutely fantastic one. Your performance was out of this world, with everybody that I have spoken to since the weekend saying they thought you two were great. The master of my Provincial lodge, who has having his Ladies night in November, said to Sean 'How the heck am I going to top that'. Hope you got back to sunny Tenerife OK and I expect you are now back into the swing of things Tenerife style (laid back). All the photos that the photographer took can be seen on the internet at www.nickonevents.com and just follow the links. Looking forward very much to seeing you both again in July. Bye for now, and once again thanks very much. Regards & best wishes Jim & Brenda

Hi Bob & Jill, Our recent holiday to Tenerife was looking a bit on the average side until we discovered you both in Route 66 in Puerto Santiago. Thanks for a cracking couple of nights entertainment, you're both exceptional. If you continue to get requests for Killers tracks, of which there were a few when we saw you perform, as massive fans of The Killers could we possibly suggest the single For Reasons Unknown from the album Sam's Town. We know you said that you didn't like The Killers, but we can completely see you rocking the crowd to this tune, as its very much in the style of Pink's Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely) ... which you do so well !! Keep rocking, and hope to catch you again sometime.

Hi Bob and Jill, Lovely to see you again last week at Route 66 strutting your stuff! Mike was very impressed how you could have remembered that Jill and himself were the same age, since that was mentioned last year! It was good to hear about your latest addition to the dog pack and how patient and caring Bob had been cleaning his ears. It made an unforgetable birthday for Mike and we both enjoyed the music and the buzz from your gig on the last night. It was a shock when we arrived at Birmingham airport to a temp of 8 degrees! Roll on next year, we will be back, In the meantime keep on thrilling the crowds and say hello to the cute bar man who joins in. When in April was Jill's birthday? was it the 24th? When is Bob's? You are a couple we're never known before, artless, kindly to everybody, good looking.. Hymne, Hymne, Hymne... God save... Bob, did you sell the apartment? You know we are interested in an apartment like yours - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, salon, kitchen, big terrace or balcony, to rent for 5 or 6 monads in winter (oct.-mar). Our only problem is to find a home sitter for our house in Hamburg during this time. If you know somebody who is going to let an apartment we like to rent,

We only see each other when we commute regularly in Spring, Summer and Autumn with our caravan. They (Arthur and Rose?) are going to be in Spain and then South Africa shortly, We, alas, will only be going to Spain at a different time. The CD we have is very good indeed and reminds us to book early for our next trip, whenever that is. Until then, Proximo Annio! or even sooner, Who knows? Kevin and Linda

Hi Jill and Bob We got back from our holiday at the weekend, and as I'm sitting here at 4.30 in the afternoon, in the dark, with the rain coming down, I'm wishing that it was this time last week, and we were anticipating another great evening at Route 66 with yourselves. We've watched the dvd, and caught a glimpse of ourselves, I think I was even managing to clap in time!! We'd just like to say thanks for all the enjoyable evenings spent in your company, and we hope to see you again next year. Till then, we wish you both health and happiness,
